Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is our way of giving back to the society and the environment. It further presents an avenue for us as a responsible corporate citizen to express our values, philosophy and passion. We execute our CSR objectives by interacting with various stakeholders in our operating environment and the wider dynamics of our society as a constituent part of the globe.
Our CSR Focus
We hold ourselves to global best practice in our CSR undertakings, even as we are drawn to specific intervention areas viz:
1. Education
At Greenwich Foundation, our unwavering dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and outstanding educational facilities has led us to proudly taking steps to adopt the Ransome Kuti Grammar School situated in Yaba, Lagos. This heartfelt initiative covers both the Junior and Senior Secondary sections of the esteemed institution. Our involvement transcends just an adoption. We have channelled our commitment into tangible facility enhancements within the school. Leading the list of these upgrades is the thorough renovation and reconstruction of 66 modern restrooms, augmented with the provision of high-grade sanitary facilities.
2. Healthcare
At Greenwich Merchant Bank, we are conscious of the importance of health to the overall socio-economic well-being and wealth of nations. We have consequently made Healthcare a central part of our CSR focus. Through our Foundation, the Greenwich Foundation, we will continue to make critical investments in healthcare infrastructures, institutions, delivery systems etc. towards ensuring a healthy population and society.
3. The Girl Child
Greenwich Merchant Bank is drawn to the peculiar situation of the Girl Child. We have therefore tailored our CSR philosophy to give the much-needed attention to issues affecting the Girl Child with the aim of providing support, facilitating access and ensuring equal opportunities. We are also at the forefront of advocacy towards protecting the Girl Child against unwholesome socio-cultural, ethno-religious and gender discrimination.
